How it works

From enquiry to party in four steps

The process is short: from enquiry to booking usually takes a few days.

  1. We check the date

You write or call with the date and headcount. We let you know whether the date is free, usually the same day.

  2. We agree the menu and layout

We suggest a table layout and menu to suit the number of guests, the time of the ceremony and your budget.

  3. We book it

The date is secured once the deposit is paid, and we confirm the arrangements in writing.

  4. The day of the ceremony

After the church ceremony you arrive with your guests straight at the prepared hall.

FAQ

Communions and christenings: questions and answers

If something is missing here, one phone call is enough.

How many guests fit at a communion or christening party?

We seat up to 69 people at tables in 144 sqm. For a smaller family we arrange the room so it does not feel empty.

Can we come straight from church?

Yes. We set the hire hours around the time of the church ceremony, so the hall is ready when you arrive with your guests.

Do you provide lunch?

Yes. Catering is available at an extra cost. We plan the menu individually to suit the party, as a served lunch or a buffet. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes are also available.

Is there entertainment for children?

Yes. At an extra cost we add an entertainer who looks after the children during the party: games, activities and contests. There is also space for a play corner in the hall.

Can we decorate the hall ourselves?

Yes. After letting us know in advance, you can come in an hour before the start to decorate the room your way.

How is the hall different from a party in a restaurant?

The whole hall is yours alone. In a restaurant other guests sit at the next tables, while here children can play freely and you decide on the table layout and decorations.

When should we book a hall for a communion?

Most enquiries are for Saturdays and Sundays in May, so those dates go first and it is worth asking about a communion as early as winter. Christenings happen all year round, so a free date is usually easier to find.

How much does it cost to hire the hall for a communion or christening?

Pricing is individual and depends on the day of the week, hours, number of guests and the menu. We send a quote once we know the date, headcount and menu.
